Prediction for A visitor from London...

This few weeks, boring and malas gila....bukannya malas sebab tak nak buat kerja tapi malas coz all the work have been done by 'Smart or Intelligence' program. One push of a button, all one week works done, except yg AdHoc, this is unavoidable. Sebab tulah got time for lunch with girlfriend @TGI (Wednesday or Thursday).
Thinking of boredom or bore-some(pronounce-bosan), I just wonder where should I bring my sister this coming 20th Feb for a visit...? She'll be here for 2 days ziarah,....mmmm not actually vacation but a stop over before attending a business meeting in Dubai on the next week. (Good for her because she'll need all the annual leave for attending my brother's wedding in May 2009). All the girls and boy are excited already for the occasion since we have no plan for going back home this year.... errrrr are we ...?(whispering to my wife for confirmation...) If it is so happened then there will be totally another story.
What worries me that, what are the best things in Doha..? Any good places...? Any good foods...? Anything to show off to..???? well it depends on ones own interest, what good or best for me may not be good or even close to 'ok' to others. Well, she's coming from UK been living and working there for more than 15 yrs, got married to a brit an having one lovely daughter (minah salleh budu since living with my mom all this while for 13 years), but still 'oghe kelate' - exception 'no budu' and 'no durian' other things - ok. I don't think she will be interested for Sandunning or any other similar kind of adventures, but maybe interested but not passionate for the historical places or something like Art Museum. I said maybe because I'm not too close to her during our childhood due to education systems that we had. We already left home (family) at the age of 13 for MRSM then straight to Pre-Uni then Uni, then straight away for a job thereafter. If both of us having the same luck then we won't be seeing each other for more than 10 years (I was 13 yrs old). Truthfully, I can say after she left for MU (not Manchester united but Manchester Metro University), I haven't heard much about her, not after these few years. Having said that, she helps me a lot during my hardtime, She helps all my brothers and sister and I thank her for that, what is big sister for if not for that purpose, ye tak..? and I will ask for more help in these coming future...hi hi hi. I want to write something about her but it is not easy, well hope someday I'll have the gut to write about us-me family-family. Anyway, that's the reasons why, I can't be sure of her taste and only can just make a predictions, that's the best I can do. So, what I have in my mind,....mmmmm villagio, city-center, villagio, city center,.....that will be the backup plan the real plan is :
1. Art Museum, 2. Zikreet, 3. Sealine, 4. Makan2@ThaiSmile@SeriKebaya - since this is not to be found in UK and she's the fond of TomYamGung etc.

Well, let see what will eventually be...!! I will post the result of this prediction after the visit then.

Tazkirah

There is No word as beautiful as Allah.
NO example as beautiful as Rasulallah
NO lesson as beautiful as Islam
NO song as melodious as Adhan
NO charity as meaningful as Zakat.
NO encyclopedia as perfect as Al Quran
NO exercise as perfect as Salat
NO diet as perfect as fasting
NO journey as perfect as Hajj
It is said that when the angel of death is taking the rooh(soul) out of the body whom passes away...it is a painful experience. They say that when the dead awake on Qayaamat, the effect of the rooh being taken out will still be there. Therefore, ALLAH have told us to recite the Ayatul Kursi after any Fardh salaat and they have stated that whoever recites this, their rooh will be taken out as you would take out a strand of hair from a pile of flour. How light would that feel, mashaAllah! May Allah save us from any sort of pain and may He let us die with Imaan in our hearts and save us from the adhaab

Review...?

Lately more malay movies were downloaded thru torrent, and a few berbahasa kelatan. I was impressed and honoured that such stories somewhat were 'true stories'. Name few that been watched in last 7 days, BUDOK KELATE (Kelantan Boy) and WAYANG (this is a telefilm and not a recent production). Both of them are in Malay and proudly to say that 99.9% in loghat Kelantan.
There were parts in my life were touched as I'm coming from Kelantan, brought up in a village(Kg Morak Wakaf Bharu), get educated-gone to School-College(MRSM)-ALevel-UK University and now working (Well done my Dad and Mum this is an A+++...never-ending). Sharing house with long-lost friend from Kampung to crash-in during -'find job/interview' period, where the location is well known overcrowded immigrant from kelantan like Kg Baru, Kg Datuk Keramat, AU etc.
Most of them were despatches where the working hours is not 9-5 (as they think), as long as they can deliver the msg it's done. Their morning is 12pm and bedtime 3-4 am. Nothing wrong with them but were something wrong with their life. Who hadn't be like that during the process.
I was a heavy smoker for the past so many years and just got rid of dunhill for 3 yrs already this 2009, and easily adapting the culture of these creatures, but seriously maybe the movie exaggerating someparts where selling ladies for 'product' was part of the job. I don't know but is there any prove of this event so that to allow the movie maker to make this as certainly coming from Kelantanese, or maybe to spice-up the story, and I choose the later to be more rational.
Well I'm not giving critics to the movie but I'm quite impressed with the script where it seems that they were not in the film.

The second one is WAYANG, where Eman Manan plays a role as Tok Dalang ( Pak Awang ) for Wayang Kulit which were popular in Kelantan, I'm sure during my childhood (1979-1885), together with 'Main Teri' and 'Main MokYong'. My Kg was famous with Wayang Kulit, Pertukangan Emas, Perak, Tanduk, pertandingan Wau Tegak etc.
One of the Dalang from my Kg were appointed as Pensyarah @ UKM for Wayang Kulit/Cultural/Art studies and others also were tagged by Tourism Malaysia to travel for a cultural show.

I was touched by their performance.

Journey to UAE-OMAN - Eid Adha 1429

This is supposed to be posted long before, but I have no energy or motivation to even think of updating my blog. A lot of things had come to mind that this is not a priority and I did not even go for bowling for more than 6 wks, but this few days, some spirit did come from within the PC screen where lies FB friends and bloggers. Anyway I didnot expect to write a good story, just enough for me to remember it sometimes in future.

The story begins.....

We have planned for the trip to be on 5-Dec-2008 (2 am), where all the preparation started 2 wks earlier. The geng would be My Family, Shah/Dilla family, Ramzi family, Rizal/Nizam/Sha/HishSyamz(meet@UAE) and Abe/Diba/Khizmi(flight to AbuDhabi). The later group will catch us in Dubai because they are from AbuDhabi.

The MIP(most important people Rizal, Shah, and others also). Shah did incharge of applying Visas (transit) for us, Rizal and crew prepare the jouney itenerary-map-booking etc,( and actually everybody did their part not only Rizal).

In earlier meeting we agreed Mercerdes@Decoration R/A to be our meeting point/starting point but last minutes change to my place, no problem, it's fine also. Got moving @ 2+- after checking all docs everything were in place.

On the way, just passed by Qtel Earth Station, I've got stranged feeling that something is wrong but can't figure it out what was it..!! keep on looking @ the car temp gauge, fuel, batt nothing wrong, but then just come to mind that I did photocopy my istimarah, license and id during the day @ the office and just remember it happenned before I did not take the original back. Quickly asked wife to look for these 3 cards in the walllet, well as thought, I left them in the office. Got to turn back home get the Qtel ID card, go to the office (3am) get the things and drive on to Abu Samra-Qatar-Saudi border(4am). The group have to continue without me and they should proceed as planned, even some say I've spoiled it, no problem there are things in life we should tollerate and this is it...!

Meet the geng quarter way in Saudi, they stopped for Solah Subhuh and Roti Chanai and me for refueling.

We continue the journey to the border of Saudi-UAE. We did not expect for taking so much time at this border but this is Middle East they're full of arrogant officers. We have to park and fill-up form like (embarkment) and submit at the counter together with passports. It toke more than 1 hr and sraight away proceed to the exit gate after taking car insurance.

Driving to AbuDhabi was very challenging because of the straight road which would make me so sleepy and luckily I'm having my co-pilot and passengers Aiman + Aina + Aiza (the kids), they kept me awake.

.......
Then we reached Abu Dhabi-then Dubai as expected late evening. Few stops before that for re-fueling and Salik Sticker.
I brought with me rice cooker and all things that needed for self catering, coz thinking of hard for eat-out due to tiresome. So that late evening we are having daging goreng with sambal bilis served with Nasi Panas, fuhhhh.....berselera betul masa tuh.
Then rushing to the Emirates mall (if not mistaken) to complete the schedule. Actually, we (me and family) need to be there for Dubai Ski but aborted because of sooooo tired. Frust gak si Aiman and Aina tapi diorang pun tak larat gak masuk sendiri2 kita gak kena teman so cancellah.
Not for long there, then headed back to apartment and had a rest for tommorow early schedule that need to be complied.
.......sambung

Hackintosh Project was over....

Well this Project was over with 'Flying Colours' except for the 'WIFI' part, but 'LAN' is working perfectly. I'm using USB WIFI Card to make it work, coz there is no solution still for 3945 a/b/g WIFI Card-(most the laptop using this). They are still working on it (base on the forum @ InsanelyMac).

Though, tough time during installation. Using Kallaway Mac Os Leopard (OSx86 10.5.1). Test on 3 type of Notebook/LapTop i.e HP DV1000, Dell M1250 and Toshiba Sattelite. All failed but Toshiba. HP dv100 - not even working during installation menu, hanging-tough, Dell Working for installation but Did Not reboot, however it was a miracle for Toshiba coz HD from Dell Installation (160Gb SATA) have been inserted into Toshiba and Walla...! Magical thing happenned where it was rebooted nicely and working perfectly in TOSHIBA, with sound and all--(some kext twiking, and Graphic max resolution - 1200x800.

A complete clone Macintosh ready for me to give a test run-before buying a real Mac. The interface is great with a much better graphic resolution. Protection against malware is proven @ low risk. Parallel windows (installation 98/XP/Vista) is running smoothly and the only small problem is no same hware detection as Main Interface, i.e no lan/wifi/usb detection. Small problem coz still can use Hackintosh but not Parallel windows.

Now ready for upgrading to a newer version 10.5.4.3

If anyone wants to explore just browse the link InsanelyMac, all your problem will be answered.

1st Practice for 2009....

Had a really good time last night/yesteday with a theme 'Masakan Kg' organised by my lovely wife for a few friends. From morning having PingPong practices with Kimie and Rizal but with no ABE coz of the serious hairline injury---(kesian dia). Having lunch @ 1 (after solat Jumaat) and continue till karaoke session @ 8-12pm. Having a break in the middle by watching Gerak Khas @ TV1 and P.Ramlee Movie.
Late night at 12am Mansoor had come over and still want to chat with me, and we had untill 2 am.

Here I am this morning to update.....oppps...alamak dah kul 11 dah nak pergi QBC, dah janji ngan mywife and few people @ QBC to come and practice sebab last week score teruk sgt,.... nt balik sambung semula....
................................................................................................................
after a while.......3.30pm local time - doha...

Just got back from QBC with a quite satisfying score, but that was not the point. The most important thing was that we managed to be there and had a good time with family and friends including Dills and Aidils. BTW we almost forgot that today is Dackson(one of the QBC staff-our friend) birthday so Madam Sharifah bought one Bday Cake for him to celebrate, taht the least we could do in a nick of time.

Anyway, the in one of the pic. shows my highest score for today 255 with 7 strike in a row. Sometimes when you're on you're on and when its off it will be no matter how hard you try.

For Ija, well it was not her day. No need for
me to story on her behalf but hope she will be prepared for Tuesday League.

As for me, I think it just a good start by having >1450 for 8 games.

There will be Federation cup next week with QAR60 registration and QAR7000 awaiting winner (champ) and I already booked for the entry.

As I said it just a new beginning with a totally new spirit for everything, - bowling and blogging.

New 2009

Welcome 1430 Hijrah and Year 2009. This will be my 2nd year in Doha and working in Qtel. Year one will be for watched and learned and 2nd Year more of watched and teached, but anyway improvement on the way if not all they will feel the different.

I have move to a more comfortable home where me and my wife are the temp Landlord because we sublet 2 spaces for other family to live. One space to other Malaysian friend and the other to his muslim colleague from work. I managed to get TV1/TV2 (previously known as RTM1/2) coverage now (thanks to Ustat-my tenant for let me shared with him the big dish as no need for me to get new one as this is an unlimited powered LNB) and trying to get ASTRO or at least TV3. Due to this we are worried of being harassed/brainstormed by the govt(our) by their political channel, but anyway we are just feel like home that is more great things than others.

My neighbour is Qatari, and he seems to be a good neighbour and also a friend as he likes to ask for any problem that I have. We have set sunday and wednesday as our PingPong Day and learning arabic session as he likes to come to play table tennis and teach me loghat-qatari. He likes to send local foods over (esp Rice) for us to taste and we are really appreciate it.

Maybe..

I woke up early this morning and my morning spirit was @ max (good energy not bad one). Had stop by @ KJane's blog and quite impress with the new post-short and interesting-to-read, it inspired me to write too, thanks KJane. Hope this would not be for today only....

During these past few months the FB craziness had killed all the spirits to write, maybe it's fun at FB but it was not really a platform for 'shout and let out'. Personal Blog is more appropriate and more everlasting. Anyway hope I'll have started my new mood then. However along the way FB has a good attention (maybe) to get more friends closer or no-friend to be yes-friend, like how I met Bro Mat or fb named - Mat Cendana thru my Sis-In-Law KJane. Thedy are seem close maybe because they are in Kuantan but I'm not sure Bro Mat is in Ktn or KL or somewhere else, but I'm sure Bro Mat is a Blogger by visiting his blog 'Recovery from Drug Addiction'. He seems to be a very good or more than good blogger, and for just a good cause Ahlan Wasahlan Brother Mat and I hope I will learn more from You.
